One fateful day, while relaxing with his grandfather, he plunges underwater to find that he’s having a peculiar vision: a strange new bath house with old men that he doesn’t recognize. Once he returns to his time, Lucius finds himself wondering about the world he traveled to and how he got there. There isn’t much time to dwell on it, as the same bullies who typically harass him elsewhere insult the bath house after pouring cold water on Lucius’s head.Lucius takes on the larger boy, Titus (Tony Azzolino), and makes him take back what he said about the bath house, declaring that he’s going to be a thermae architect when he grows up. His grandfather is pleased to hear this, and later on we see Lucius having grown into a man who’s working as a thermae architect, just like he said.
The adventure is poised to begin from there. What Shows Will It Remind You Of? To be fair, there aren’t any other anime series exactly like this one out there, but oddly enough, there are shades of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure seen throughout some of this episode’s storytelling – and even its animation. It’s uniquely heartwarming and realistic, and humorous in ways you don’t expect.
