StoryLine:

A hedonistic teenager in Mumbai is busted for dealing drugs and goes to his estranged sister for help, but complications land her in jail.The film begins with Aamir , a young man who lives under a road bridge where numerous impoverished families live, grabbing a bike and carrying out a series of drug deliveries all over the city.A police bust interrupts Aamir, who is chased into the laundry workplace of Aamir’s sister Taara .With the help of an older male colleague Akshi , Taara conceals her brother and his stash of drugs. But in Akshi’s mind, his help means that Taara is now somehow beholden to him. Taara finds herself facing life in prison, unless Akshi recovers and can be persuaded to admit his role in the incident. But although he regains consciousness, Akshi is unable to talk. Both Taara and Aamir find hope in their desperate situation through connections with other children. Taara befriends Chotu, the child of an ailing prisoner, while Aamir initially considers selling Akshi’s eldest daughter to a local brothel. But Aamir grudgingly warms to Akshi’s mother and two daughters.

There, Akshi declares that Tara must not see other men, as he loves her, and that she belongs to him. Tara attempts to take the money and flee, but Akshi tries to sexually assault her. In the ensuing struggle, Tara wounds Akshi in self-defence. She is automatically thrown in prison, with her assailant fighting for his life in a Government hospital. A raging Amir is flatly informed by the cops that her case will only be taken up once Akshi wakes up and registers his statement. Until then, she will languish behind bars. Akshi does regain consciousness eventually, but he is unable to speak. Desperate to see his sister free, Amir threatens Akshi to come clean about the incident.
