Onto the next release of the weekend and I did have some bandwidth for another theatrical release. And with that I finished watching the new Gujarati film Fakt Mahilao Maate which in its second week and going strong. It was the glowing word of mouth that made me visit a theatre near me to watch this film. Things were relatively easier as I didn’t really have to search for shows with English subtitles as my mother tongue is Gujarati. To top it, this was a comedy and I desperately needed a film to drown my sorrow while watching Liger. Some part of me was skeptical given that my last Gujarati film in a theatre, Dear Father wasn’t quite a pleasant experience. It was filled with cliches and over dramatized, something that I was weary of even here. So then does Fakt Mahilao Maate manage to provide a heartfelt laughter, lets find out.Fakt Mahilao Maate 2022 Full Movie Download

Fakt Mahilao Maate follows the story of the protagonist who gets a superpower of hearing the inner voices of women. The story right at its concept level is a winner. I for one would love this superpower as well, lets admit it we all would. But more importantly, hearing and understanding are two different concepts, something which the film addresses successfully. The screenplay of about 135 minutes is about the ideal length for this film which is an absolute laugh riot.The drama though opens on a slight wobbly note wherein it took me atleast 10 minutes to settle into the drama. Perhaps the world building was at fault here with multiple tracks in the story being introduced through the various characters. But soon the film does find its groove as you start to understand the dynamics between the protagonist and the characters around him. This formulates some of the most hilarious moments in the film.
