Besides the controlled colour palette of the movie (notice the earthy tones in everything from clothes to furniture), even the selection of props and set design is reminiscent of Ghosh’s keen eye for detail.Punascha 2014 Full Movie Download
Perhaps because the film depicts a shorter duration of time, much emphasis has been laid on precision and that, beyond a doubt, is praiseworthy. So, Roopa Ganguly doesn’t wander around the house aimlessly, or enter some other room, while looking for an umbrella which was fleetingly shown hanging beside Chatterjee’s red t-shirt on the bedroom’s back wall!Debajyoti Mishra once again uses some rain-and-tear-kissed classical notes to capture and convey the sense of love and loss. His compositions steeped in nostalgia, his music a tribute to Rituparno – the Mathura Nagarpati who left for Gokul in the summer of 2013.Yes, the script of Punascha is littered with some loose ends, but ultimately, the film belongs to all those hurting souls who couldn’t finish their last dialogue with the beloveds.

Although it’s a film with a fairly ordinary storyline, Punascha can be interpreted in several ways. Primarily, however, the venture comes across as a jointly written note of thanks to master filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh. And given the fact that the film’s team comprises a few of the legend’s closest friends and aides, the expression of gratitude doesn’t surprise us either. The movie owes plenty to the foley artistes who rustle up a fine sound experience, and DoP Manas Ganguly, who romances not just the life in a metro or the colourful Santiniketan, but the hesitation, regret, longing and ache in an interrupted love story.
