Pullappaa aka Langda Tyagi (Dibyendu Bhattacharya), a contract killer who employs trained tribals as his hitmen, Aditya Dutt (Sumeet Vyas), a special crime branch officer on trial for the suspects to capture him, and Dr Sangamitra Das (Patralekha Paul), a doctor who wants to aid tribals, are all involved in parallel plots that heighten the drama and take the story forward.Set amidst misty hills and waterfalls, nestled amongst thick jungle trees, this eight-part series begins slowly, with proceedings that are simple, straight, and easy to follow.
It may take some time for the initial episodes to sink in, but once Sarju is on his revenge mission, the story takes an engrossing turn. The story is written in an authentic and realistic manner. For instance, the scenes in which Sarju first enters the city are well-written and effectively convey the struggle of someone entering a completely new world. However, there are times when it appears that things are too conveniently placed for the protagonist.
